Following an initial consultation we will draw up a recommended research plan and timeline for your work. Full details of our terms and conditions will be sent for your review, please get in touch for further information.
Research is undertaken in accordance with professional genealogical standards: the Code of Ethics of the Association of Professional Genealogists, and Code of Practice of the Association of Genealogists & Researchers in Archives. These standards include care of your personal information. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under the Data Protection Act 2018 [registration number ZA120497].
No two genealogical investigations are the same, and research may not always return a positive finding. In all cases you will receive a comprehensive list of record sources searched.
Your initial consultation is free of charge. If you choose to move forward with a piece of research we will agree a maximum number of hours and total expenses, which will not be exceeded without your prior agreement. A deposit is requested at the start of a project and full payment before the final report is delivered. We accept cheques drawn on a UK bank, postal orders, or Paypal for secure online payment.
