Confidentiality

Research is undertaken in accordance with professional genealogical standards: the Code of Ethics of the Association of Professional Genealogistsand Code of Practice of the Association of Genealogists & Researchers in Archives. These standards include care of your personal information. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under the Data Protection Act 2018 [registration number ZA120497].

Research outcomes

No two genealogical investigations are the same, and research may not always return a positive finding. In all cases you will receive a comprehensive list of record sources searched.

Fees

Your initial consultation is free of charge. If you choose to move forward with a piece of research we will agree a maximum number of hours and total expenses, which will not be exceeded without your prior agreement. A deposit is requested at the start of a project and full payment before the final report is delivered. We accept cheques drawn on a UK bank, postal orders, or Paypal for secure online payment.
